Take a lesson from “Star Wars”: you can have all the resources in the galaxy at your disposal, and sometimes the little guy still prevails. In this case, that little guy is Andrew Ainsworth, a British artist who helped design the stark, almost featureless costumes worn by the villainous storm troopers in George Lucas’s original 1977 space-adventure movie, and who has won the right to sell replicas of those costumes without permission from Mr. Lucas or his studio, Lucasfilm.
Of note considering Lucas’ stranglehold on his intellectual property.
The GIF below’s just too big to upload. But you want to click on it.

Like the majority of silent films, this one is considered to be lost
Friends,
I am so overwhelmingly excited to announce my debut record is coming out on May 1st 2016.
Recorded in a single day by my friend @bobcooperproducer it’s just me, the guitar and the sound of the room. I think it’s the closest I could get to reproducing the live sound I’ve been working on for the last few years.
I am also so very, very honoured to feature the artwork of @veraickler an immensely talented tattoo artist and illustrator, not to mention a beloved friend.
Pre-orders will begin next week, but in the meantime I direct you to heartofoakmusic.com (link in bio) where you can hear the first song ‘Faded Flags’, and also sign up for a monthly newsletter I’m putting together featuring the usual stuff about me and where I’m going to be, plus the books and other junk I’m into. It’s also a place where, hopefully, we can start to have a slightly slower and more longform conversation about the world, rather than drowning in the deluge of social media. (Not to say I’m not on that as well in all the usual places).
My friends, if you like and feel the need, please share this with anyone and everyone you know, for the moment I’m doing this all organically, without the help of PR or a record label, so any help is so very much appreciated.
Much more will be said over the next few weeks, but just know that I am so excited to be sharing this journey with you all.
Here we go.
